Terms of Service
Last updated August 15, 2026
These are the terms you agree to when you buy a package from us. We've written them in plain English, because terms nobody reads protect nobody.
1. Who these terms are between
This agreement is between you (the business buying our services) and The Boost Local, a sole proprietorship operated by Christian Guzman. By purchasing a package or using this site, you agree to these terms.
2. What we do
We build and run paid advertising campaigns for local businesses on platforms including Google, Meta, and TikTok. What's included depends on the package you buy — the duration, targeting radius, and platforms are listed on the package at checkout.
We launch campaigns within 24–48 hours of receiving your completed onboarding form. That clock starts when your form is complete, not when you pay. If you paid the same-day launch fee, we launch by 11:59pm Pacific on the day of purchase, provided your payment and materials reach us by 12:00pm Pacific — the conditions are set out in our Refund Policy.
3. What we need from you
For us to do this work, you need to give us accurate information about your business, respond when we ask questions, and have the right to use any logos, photos, or copy you send us.
You are responsible for the legality of what you advertise. We don't advertise anything that breaks the law or violates the ad platforms' policies, and we may decline or stop a campaign that does.
4. Payment
Packages are paid up front through Stripe. Prices are in US dollars. Your package price covers ad creative, campaign setup, ad spend, and reporting for the stated duration.
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which is part of this agreement.
5. Ad accounts and ownership
For Starter and Growth packages we run ads from our own managed accounts. For Pro, we can run them from your accounts if you prefer, so the history and reporting stay in your name.
You own your business information, your brand materials, and — where ads run in your own accounts — your campaign data. We own the tools, templates, and methods we use to do the work. Ad creative we produce for you is yours to keep and reuse.
6. Results
This is the honest part. Advertising results depend on your market, your pricing, your competition, your offer, and how you handle the leads we send you. We work hard to get you results and we report honestly on what happens — but we do not guarantee a specific number of leads, calls, sales, or any particular return on your spend. Anyone who guarantees you those things is guessing.
7. Things outside our control
We rely on Google, Meta, and TikTok. They can reject ads, change their rules, suspend accounts, or alter pricing without warning. If a platform disrupts your campaign, we'll tell you promptly and do what we can to fix or move it — but we're not responsible for their decisions.
8. Cancelling
You can stop a campaign at any time by emailing hello@theboostlocal.com. We may end this agreement if you don't pay, ask us to advertise something unlawful, or are abusive to us. If we end it for any other reason, we refund what you haven't used.
How refunds are calculated in each case is set out in our Refund Policy, which governs if anything here reads differently.
9. Limits on our responsibility
We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected to these services is limited to the amount you paid us for the package the claim relates to.
We're not liable for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost business opportunity. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, including for fraud.
10. Privacy
How we handle your information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of this agreement.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in effect when you bought your package is the one that governs it. Material changes will be emailed to active clients, not slipped in quietly.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, and any dispute will be handled by the courts located there.
13. Getting in touch
Questions, complaints, or anything that feels unfair — email hello@theboostlocal.com. We'd always rather sort something out directly than have you stuck with it.
Questions about any of this? Email hello@theboostlocal.com and a real person will answer.
